French side Lyon are said to be interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers wing-back Ruben Vinagre this summer as they look for a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Ferland Mendy.
The 20-year-old moved to Molineux from Monaco last summer in a permanent £2m deal, having spent the previous campaign on loan at Wolves as they stormed to the Championship title.
Vinagre mainly played second fiddle to the likes of Matt Doherty and Jonny Castro last term, restricting him to 17 Premier League appearances, but is highly thought of at the club and is considered a star for the future.
According to Portuguese daily O Jogo, Lyon are keen to pursue a deal for the youngster and have mooted the possibility of taking him on loan for a year with an option to buy.
The side finished third in Ligue 1 last term and as a result are able to offer Vinagre the possibility of Champions League football, although Wolves are reluctant to let him go unless they receive a sizeable fee.
Vinagre still has four years remaining on his contract with Nuno Espirito Santo's side.
