Mick McCarthy has claimed that he is looking to add to his Wolves squad in the January transfer window.
The former Ireland boss is hoping to have the backing of the club owner Steve Morgan and chief executive Jez Moxey as he looks for reinforcements.
McCarthy has also said that he does not want to lose any of his current squad.
"Of course, it helps if you can get new faces in but we are all looking at the same pool of players in terms of affordability and people wanting to come, availability etc," said McCarthy.
"Certain teams in certain areas of the league look at the same players. None of us want to lose our best players. We are looking and freshening it up always helps. We have spoken about it but I wouldn't discuss what we can spend or what we can do.
"All I know is that forever and always they have been very supportive and if we get the right players, Steve and Jez have been supportive and we've been able to do it."
Wolves currently sit just above the relegation zone in 17th place on the table.
