Stefan Maierhofer has returned to his native Austria with Red Bull Salzburg after a two-year stint at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 29-year-old striker joined Wolves in 2009 but failed to settle in the Midlands and spent last season on loan with MSV Duisburg.
"It's a fantastic challenge for me and I'm coming to Salzburg to win titles," Maierhofer told the club's official website.
"I also want to help the Red Bulls achieve their European aims."
Salzburg will reportedly pay Wolves £1m for Maierhofer.
