Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Joe Mason has been allowed to sign a loan deal with MLS side Colorado Rapids.
Earlier this week, Rapids boss Anthony Hudson claimed that the two clubs had agreed terms for the attacker to make the switch to the American outfit ahead of the new campaign.
Wolves have now confirmed that the 26-year-old will now spend the rest of the season in the United States, where he will link up with former teammate Jack Price.
Mason had spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Burton Albion, but the player returned to Molineux during the January transfer window and was unable to secure another switch away from the West Midlands side.
However, Mason's Wolves career now appears at an end after netting eight goals in 39 outings in all competitions.
