Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly identified Benfica youngster Martin Neto as a potential summer transfer target.
Throughout this campaign, Bruno Lage has largely rotated between three central midfielders in Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker.
However, with Neves being frequently linked with a move away from Molineux and Moutinho turning 36 later this year, head coach Bruno Lage will need at least one fresh face during the next transfer window.
According to The Sun, Wolves may take advantage of the situation involving Neto, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the campaign.
Although the 19-year-old is yet to make a senior appearance, the prospect has impressed for Benfica's 'B' team and earned seven caps for Portugal Under-19s.
The report adds that Neto has recently joined Jorge Mendes's stable of players, something which theoretically could improve Wolves' chances of agreeing a deal.
