Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly identified Sheffield United defender John Egan as a potential summer signing.
Having helped the Blades earn promotion from the Championship last season, Egan has played an instrumental role in the Yorkshire outfit's bid to end their first campaign back in the Premier League in the top six.
However, the form of the 27-year-old has naturally led to interest in his signature, including from Everton who are keen to strengthen their backline.
According to The Sun, the Toffees could face competition from Wolves, who use a similar formation to that of the Blades.
While Egan plays in the same position as mainstay Conor Coady, the Republic of Ireland international is capable of featuring in any role along the back three.
United allegedly value Egan in the region of £30m.
