FIFA have announced that German system GoalControl will be used as goal-line technology in next year's World Cup in Brazil.
The world football governing body are already familiar with this system, having installed it into stadiums in the South American country for the Confederations Cup earlier this year.
GoalControl detects whether the ball has crossed the line when a vibration and visual alert is sent to each match official's watch with the use of 14 high-speed cameras around the pitch.
FIFA have claimed that they came to their decision following the successful use of the system during the Confederations Cup.
