Wrexham striker Connor Jennings has scored in first-half injury time to take his side into the break at 1-1 with Macclesfield Town.
Wrexham started the brighter of the two sides with Wes York and Louis Moult both trying their luck from the edge of the penalty area, but neither player could hit the target.
Macclesfield responded positively by winning a succession of corners, but after failing to create a clear opportunity, Wrexham hit back through Elliott Durrell, who saw a stinging volley well kept out.
The Welsh outfit kept up the pressure on Town, and after Joe Clarke had dragged a weak shot wide, York cut inside from the left before firing past the far post.
However, five minutes before half time, Macclesfield opened the scoring against the run of play when Waide Fairhurst's strike found its way past Andy Coughlin in the Wrexham goal.
They couldn't hold on until the break, though, as Jennings rose highest at the back post to net against his former club.
