Wrexham move up to third place in the Conference Premier table after earning a 1-0 win against Kidderminster Harriers.

A late strike from Elliott Durrell has earned Wrexham a 1-0 victory against Kidderminster Harriers to help the Dragons up to third place in the Conference Premier standings.

After a slow start in North Wales, Wrexham began to make inroads in the final third, with Connor Jennings and Mark Carrington wasting chances on goal.

Kidderminster responded through Reece Styche, who pulled his strike wide of the post, but neither side were gaining a stranglehold of a fiercely-contested contest.

As the first half drew to a close, Marvin Johnson wasted an opportunity for the visitors before Neil Ashton headed a Dean Keates corner wide for Wrexham.

Johnson was proving to be the main threat for Harriers but a rampaging run from the halfway line only resulted in a shot that was easily kept out by Daniel Bachmann.

Shortly after the hour mark, Wrexham should have taken the lead through Louis Moult, but after the ball had fallen to him in front of an open goal, he blazed his shot over the crossbar.

After failing to take the lead, Wrexham soon found themselves on the back foot as Kidderminster began to press forward as a number of crosses from the visitors weren't converted by their front players.

Michael Gash also saw a header go wide of the target and the home side capitalised on Kidderminster's lack of a clinical touch by taking the lead with six minutes to go.

Harriers failed to clear the ball inside the penalty area and it eventually found the feet of Wrexham midfielder Durrell, who saw his deflected effort find the back of the net.
