Wycombe Wanderers defender Joe Jacobson has admitted that the club's performances have surprised a lot of people throughout this season.
Last May, Wycombe retained their Football League status on the final day of the campaign, and with the club now just one game away from League One after reaching the League Two playoff final, Jacobson believes that his team have "exceeded expectations".
The 28-year-old told BBC Three Counties Radio: "All season, the manager has not put any pressure on us to get promotion. He never panicked and it has worked for us, so nothing has changed in the lead up to the final.
"I think we exceeded expectations. There were not too many people who would have thought we could have got here. Nobody could say we don't deserve to be here."
Jacobson has made 49 appearances for Wycombe in all competitions this season.
