Wycombe Wanderers scored a late equaliser to save a point at home against Dagenham & Redbridge this afternoon.
Jamie Cureton scored a second-half goal for Dagenham, ultimately costing Wycombe Wanderers the top spot.
Against the run of play, Cureton's right-footed strike on the 63rd minute looked like it would condemn Wycombe to a second straight loss but were saved their blushes thanks to Peter Murphy's strike late on.
After a goalless first half, Wycombe maintained the same pressure they applied on Dagenham before the break.
Wycombe paid the price after missing several chances from the restart, giving Cureton the opportunity to break the deadlock.
The game became scrappy after the goal, as each side began giving away free kicks in non-threatening positions.
Dagenham looked to be on their way to climbing further up the table but it was Murphy who denied them the chance to take all three points, as he headed the ball in from a Sam Wood cross.
Wycombe drop to second in the table while Dagenham drop to 21st, just four points above the relegation zone.
