Newport County have climbed up to third in League Two for the time being with a narrow 1-0 away win against Wycombe Wanderers.
The visitors were in control of proceedings at Adams Park right from the start and were unlucky not to take the lead on 25 minutes when Christian Jolley hit the crossbar.
However, just past the half-hour mark Newport did go ahead through Michael Flynn, who found the target after being sent through by David Pipe.
Wycombe stepped up their game in the second half as Max Kretzschmar, Marvin McCoy and Stuart Lewis all came close, but the visitors held on for maximum points.
The result sees Wycombe stay in the bottom half of the league table, while Newport are now just two points behind leaders Chesterfield.
