Stuart Taylor has returned to parent club Reading just two days after joining Yeovil Town on a one-month loan.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper was brought in as cover for the injured Marek Stech on Monday and featured in the opening 45 for the Glovers in a friendly against Latvia two nights ago.
However, he is now returning to Berkshire because of "personal reasons".
"The Royals and Yeovil Town have today mutually agreed to cut short Stuart Taylor's one-month loan spell for personal reasons," read a statement on Yeovil's website.
Glovers manager Gary Johnson will now either look to secure another loan signing or hand the keeper's gloves to Chris Dunn for Friday night's Championship match against Doncaster.
