York City boss Russ Wilcox has heaped praise on his team after seeing them earn a 3-0 win at Cambridge United.
The Minstermen eased their relegation fears in League Two last night as they eased past Cambridge at the Abbey Stadium.
Wilcox believes that his side were worthy winners and could even have scored more goals thanks to a dominant display.
"We got everything spot on. It was near-on perfect," he told Sky Sports News. "Our game plan was good, making sure we were nice and solid. We could have scored more goals, it was a terrific performance.
"I do feel that the performance has been coming. We had that killer instinct this time and that was the difference. When the opportunities come you've got to put them in the net."
York return to action on Saturday when they make the trip to AFC Wimbledon.
