York City have allowed goalkeeper Jason Mooney to join Alfreton Town on loan for the rest of the season.
After barely featuring for Tranmere Rovers during a two-year spell at Prenton Park, Mooney linked up with fellow Northern Irishman Nigel Worthington at Bootham Crescent.
However, after just five appearances, the last of which came in October, the 25-year-old has been given permission to join the Conference Premier club until the end of April.
Mooney is available to feature in Alfreton's game at Welling United on Saturday afternoon.
