Argentina centre-back Ezequiel Garay today completed a move from Benfica to Zenit St Petersburg, signing a five-year contract with the Russian club.
Despite being linked with European heavyweights like Bayern Munich, Garay has opted to sign for Zenit and will join up with his new side after the World Cup.
No transfer fee was announced for the former Real Madrid player, who joined Benfica in 2011 from the Spanish giants.
Garay has played every single minute for Argentina so far in Brazil, helping the Albiceleste to a 100% record in the group stage.
