Marussia team boss John Booth has insisted that he is confident ahead of the new Formula 1 season, despite issues with driver selection.
Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton will drive for Marussia this season, with Timo Glock released for financial reasons.
"Although certain aspects of our winter were quite challenging, the overwhelming feeling we take into the Australian Grand Prix is great optimism," Booth told AutoSport.
"In many ways we are in our best shape ever as a team and everyone is thriving on that. Our new package has performed well in pre-season testing, with encouraging signs in terms of performance and reliability."
British driver Jenson Button won the Australian Grand Prix last year.
