Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali has said it is "vital" that the Italian team deliver a competitive car for next season, after a frustrating 2013 campaign.
Red Bull have dominated the constructors' championship, with Sebastian Vettel sealing a fourth world drivers' title.
Responding to Fernando Alonso's comments expressing concern about Red Bull's performance advantage going into next year, Domenicali stated that the whole team needed a good car.
He was quoted by BBC Sport: "His frustration is our frustration.
"If you are not able to give a good car or a fast enough car to a driver who is always fighting like hell up to the right moment, it is very important that we focus on how we develop the car in the future."
Alonso finished fifth in Sunday's US Grand Prix.
