Lewis Hamilton is reportedly considering a move to become an owner of a MotoGP team, as suggested by escalating reports from British, Italian, and Japanese sources.

The seven-time F1 world champion, who is also a known enthusiast of motorcycling, is allegedly engaged in discussions with the Italian outfit that is a satellite of Ducati.

These speculations gained traction after Hamilton's close friend and manager, Marc Hynes, was observed engaging with officials from Dorna and various teams at the MotoGP event in Assen last Sunday, with Gresini being one of the teams involved.

Gresini Racing is represented by the Marquez brothers, Marc and Alex, as their race riders.

Earlier in April, it was revealed that Liberty Media, the owner of F1, would take over Dorna Sports, the sole entity with commercial rights to MotoGP.

At 39, Hamilton, who will switch to Ferrari from next year, the famous Italian F1 team often linked with Ducati, already owns the electric off-road racing team, X44.
