A Formula 1 test driver has been injured in a test session in Cambridgeshire when her Marussia F1 car crashed into the back of a lorry.
The driver, believed to be Maria de Villota, is understood to be seriously injured and emergency services were called to the scene of the crash.
BBC Cambridgeshire presenter Chris Mann, who witnessed the accident, said that the car completed a lap of the circuit before it "suddenly accelerated" into the lorry, which had transported the car to Duxford.
The Marussia team's main drivers are Charles Pic and Timo Glock, who have yet to score a single point this F1 season.
