Mark Webber edged out Red Bull teammate Sebastian Vettel to earn himself pole position for the Korean Grand Prix.
Vettel could only qualify in second place, with McLaren's Lewis Hamilton ending the final qualifying session in third.
Championship leader Fernando Alonso will join Hamilton on the second row of the grid after he finished in fourth position for Ferrari.
Jenson Button endured a disappointing qualifying after he failed to make the final session, and he will start Sunday's race in 11th position.
