Kimi Raikkonen has been hit with a five-place penalty after Lotus Renault confirmed that the Finnish driver has had to have his gearbox changed.
The 32-year-old first suffered the problem during the Australian Grand Prix last weekend, where the driver's radiator overheated after getting filled with grass clippings.
Lotus confirmed today that a change in the gearbox needed to be made, which means that Raikkonen will lose five places ahead of this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix.
Raikkonen's teammate Romain Grosjean also experienced trouble with the back of his car during the practice sessions this morning.
