A new suspension system that was primarily being developed by Lotus has been banned for this year's Formula 1 world championship.
Ferrari were also looking into the device, which was initially declared legal, that aims to control ride-height and keep the car stable under breaking.
F1's governing body, the FIA, looked into the matter further and, following representations from other teams, decided the device unfairly altered aerodynamics.
The new season begins in Melbourne on March 18.
