McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has insisted that he is focused only on winning the championship and not which team he will be driving for next season.

Hamilton, who won the Italian Grand Prix last weekend, has been strongly linked with a move to Mercedes next year.

However, the Englishman continues to refuse to be drawn on his future.

"I don't have a timeline. My focus is on trying to win this world championship," Hamilton said.

"Of course I do have to have those things sorted out but I do have people in the background working on those contract negotiations. There's a lot of speculation, there's a lot of stories that aren't true."

Hamilton is currently fourth in the drivers' standings.
