Former Formula 1 driver David Coulthard has insisted that Lewis Hamilton's new levels of maturity will see him recover quickly from his Monaco Grand Prix heartache.
The Englishman lost the race in the last few laps as Mercedes pitted him under a safety car without needing to, and he fell to third behind Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel.
Coulthard told BBC Sport: "Hamilton dominated the Monaco Grand Prix weekend and, once he is over the initial disappointment of losing the race, that is what will stick with him.
"It's true that following disappointment in Monaco last year, Hamilton had two or three shaky races. But he is in a much better place this year.
"He is older, wiser and capable of dealing with it in the way he might not have been able to so easily in the past."
Hamilton will have the opportunity get back to winning ways at the Canadian Grand Prix in two weeks.
