World champion Sebastian Vettel has dropped down to fifth in this afternoon's German Grand Prix following an investigation by the FIA.
The German driver has been punished for his overtaking manoeuvre on McLaren's Jenson Button on the penultimate lap of the race.
Vettel managed to get past Button, but only by guiding his Red Bull car off the track to make it possible.
Both drivers presented their cases to stewards after the race, who have decided that Vettel should be given a 20-second penalty.
As a result, he has fallen from second to fifth. Button has moved up to second and Kimi Raikkonen has gained a slot on the podium following Vettel's drop.
