Niki Lauda has revealed that Mercedes will not be providing engines to Red Bull, despite reports that they will for 2016.
Autocar has claimed that Aston Martin are in talks with the four-time constructors' champions to become their technical partner, with the team running rebranded Mercedes power units from next season.
However, when asked about the rumours of an engine deal, Lauda dismissed the speculation as "a load of rubbish".
He told Reuters: "We have not been asked, we never thought about it. That's it."
Red Bull have also linked to a possible engine deal with Ferrari in recent weeks.
