Renault are confident that they have solved the engine issues that affected all their Formula 1 teams they supply to.
The French supplier endured a torrid opening test at Jerez, with world champion Red Bull only able to complete 21 laps at the Spanish circuit, while other teams also suffered issues with their new V6 engines.
However, Renault's head of F1 track operations, Remi Taffin, has suggested that there is likely to be an improvement in performance as the teams edge closer to the new season.
He told GPUpdate.net: "We left the first test with a lot to do on our side, mainly facing hardware and software issues.
"We are ready to do what we would have liked to have done in the first test, which is to properly test the power unit and give our customers a way to discover their cars."
Renault-powered teams have two more test sessions in Bahrain to develop their packages ahead of the new season.
The first race of 2014 takes place in Australia on March 16.
