Daniel Ricciardo is targeting a battle with Mercedes in 2015 after building on his first year with Red Bull.
The Australian driver outperformed Sebastian Vettel last season and was the only non-Mercedes grand prix winner.
However, Ricciardo has suggested that he will be looking to build on his results last season and carry the fight to the constructors' champions.
Ricciardo is quoted by Crash.net as saying: "I feel really good coming in to the 2015 season and obviously, compared to last year, I come in with a bit of confidence. I'm just ready to keep going from where I finished last year. I would have been happy for the season to have continued, so I'll just try and pick it up where I left off.
"There was probably pressure on me last year to prove myself in a top team, but I think now everyone knows what I am capable of. I'm excited to build on what we achieved and learned in 2014 and give Mercedes a good fight."
Ricciardo will be partnered by former Toro Rosso driver Daniil Kvyat, who replaces four-time world champion Vettel at the Milton Keynes-based team.
