Mark Webber impressed in his Red Bull car on day one of the final pre-season testing in Barcelona by storming to the top of the timesheets.
The Australian ace completed the Circuit de Catalunya, which was affected by heavy rain, allowing just one hour of dry running, in a time of 1:22.693 throughout the afternoon.
Lewis Hamilton, who will compete for Mercedes for the first time this season, set the second quickest time of 1:24.348, while Jean-Eric Vergne was third-fastest in his Toro Rosso car.
The 2013 season gets underway at the Australian Grand Prix next month.
