Europe Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley has insisted that he is solely focused on his team's preparations ahead of tomorrow's fourballs against the USA.
This afternoon, the 47-year-old and USA captain Tom Watson announced their pairings for tomorrow's fourball matches at Gleneagles.
Rookie Stephen Gallacher will compete in the third contest alongside Ian Poulter against the USA's Jordan Speith and Patrick Reed.
"We have got 12 strong players and I could have come up with many different combinations," McGinley told Sky Sports News. "Stephen Gallacher is out there with a guy in Ian Poulter who is going to enjoy the atmosphere that he will bring.
"I am more concerned with what we are doing rather than what the American pairings are to be honest. They are a strong team, make no mistake.
"There will be some strong messages this evening at the team meeting and we will watch some of the videos we have put together for the evening."
World number one Rory McIlroy will be paired with Sergio Garcia in the fourth match when they take on Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson.
