Europe Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley has confirmed that Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia have been paired together for Friday's fourballs at Gleneagles.
Questions over who the world number one would play alongside arose when it was expected that McIlroy and Graeme McDowell would be split up.
During this afternoon's opening ceremony in Scotland, McGinley announced that McIlroy and Garcia will team up for the fourth and final match of the day against Team USA's Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson.
The tournament will get underway tomorrow morning with the USA's Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson, who will take on Europe's Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson.
The second match consists of a head to head between the USA's Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker and Europe's Thomas Bjorn and Martin Kaymer.
All eyes will be on the third match as three rookies take to the course in the form of the USA'S Jordan Speith and Patrick Reed, as well as Scotsman Stephen Gallacher, who has been paired with Ian Poulter for Europe.
