Brandt Snedeker has admitted that he will have to cope with nerves if he is to win his first ever Major at this year's Masters in Augusta.

The 32-year-old is currently ranked fifth in the world and has won five times on the PGA Tour.

However, the American has conceded that it is one of the four most important titles in the golfing calender that he is keen to win.

"I hope the process is over. I'm ready. I feel like my game's ready. The biggest hurdle, I think, with winning a major championship is being mentally prepared to handle the stress that you are going to have the last two rounds," he told reporters.

"I know what stress and pressure you're under on Sunday, especially being in the last group, because I've been there. I know what to expect and I know I'm prepared to handle that. So I look forward to the challenge."

Snedeker's best performance at a Major is a third-placed finish at The Masters and The Open.
