The USA have retained their Presidents Cup lead, despite still not earning a point from Tiger Woods.

In tough conditions at Royal Melbourne, Aaron Baddeley and Jason Day beat Woods and Dustin Johnson on the 18th hole to help the International team split the six fourball matches.

Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson beat Ernie Els and Ryo Ishikawa, while Phil Mickelson and Jim Furyk achieved a 2 & 1 victory.

The International team won the last two matches, with Geoff Ogilvy and KJ Choi seeing off Nick Watney and Bill Haas, and South Africans Retief Goosen and Charl Schwartzel beat David Toms and Hunter Mahan.

The Americans go into Saturday with a 7-5 lead and 10 points at stake.
