Bud Cauley and Marco Dawson share the first-round lead on eight-under-par 62 at the McGladrey Classic in Sea Island, Georgia.
Cauley had eight birdies without a bogey and birdied six of his last nine holes on the Seaside Course to join Dawson at the top of the leaderboard on Thursday.
The 48-year-old, who had to take drops after two wayward tee shots, mixed nine birdies with a lone bogey.
Boo Weekley, Rod Pampling and Greg Owen finished the day two shots behind the duo on 64.
