Graeme McDowell has moved into a three-shot lead after day two of the World Challenge at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California.
The Northern Irishman followed up his opening round of 69 to hole seven birdies and a bogey on his way to a 66, leaving him on nine-under-par overall.
The American trio of Bo van Pelt, Jim Furyk and Keegan Bradley ended the day on six-under, while a 69 gave Tiger Woods a score of five-under.
Overnight leader Nick Watney will go into Saturday on four-under with fellow countryman Rickie Fowler.
However, it was a bad day for McDowell's Ryder Cup teammate Ian Poulter, who is now 10 shots off the lead thanks to a 72.
