Rory McIlroy has insisted that he is happy with his seventh-place position at the halfway stage of the Tour Championship.
The 23-year-old is currently four shots behind tournament leader Jim Furyk, but as it stands, McIlroy would win the Fedex Cup, and he has hinted that he would prioritise winning the £6m prize money on offer over winning the Tour Championships.
McIlroy told Sky Sports News: "I'm happy with the position I'm in. First and foremost I just have to try to think of my standing in this golf tournament, not really about anything else.
"If it comes down to it where I need to really know what I have to do for the last few holes, if I have a decision to make between protecting my lead in the FedEx Cup or trying to win the tournament, I think I know what I'm going to choose."
Furyk is currently second in the Fedex Cup standings with Tiger Woods in third.
