Nine-time Major winner Gary Player has claimed that there is no better golfer in the world right now than newly-crowned Open champion Henrik Stenson.
The 40-year-old Swede matched the record round of carding 63 at a Major as he scooped the Claret Jug with a three-shot win.
The world number five, who birdied four of the final five holes on Sunday, now has a Major title under his belt.
"I was so excited for Henrik Stenson," Player told Sky Sports News. "He's such a wonderful golfer there's no-one in the world who plays better than him.
"He deserved to win, he played magnificently. He's a wonderful man, with a great sense of humour. He was second to Phil in 2013 and now with patience he beats him. It was a great tournament."
Stenson is also the oldest first-time Major winner since 2011.
