Australian golfer Adam Scott has announced that he has split from his caddie Steve Williams after four years of working together.
Scott, 34, won his only Major, the 2013 US Masters, with Williams on his bag, but the 50-year-old caddie had recently expressed a desire to cut back his time on the tour and spend more time with his family.
"Steve has been an integral part of my team in a period where I have fulfilled some of my lifetime golfing goals." Scott said in a statement released today.
"Our priorities and stages of life are different now and so we decided that this is the best time to end our partnership."
Williams, who has previously worked with Greg Norman, Ray Floyd and Tiger Woods, was inducted into the Caddie Hall of Fame earlier this month.
