Lee Westwood has tipped Jason Day to have a big year in 2012.
Westwood will partner the Australian, along with Thomas Bjorn, in this week's Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in Doha.
Day, who has one PGA Tour title to his name, missed the cut at the Abu Dhabi Championship last week, where Robert Rock emerged victorious.
"I was asked at the end of last week who will have a big year, and the only one I picked out was Jason Day," said Westwood.
"Not because he was the only one who will have a big year, but I think he's a talented player and people probably look over him.
"He gets overlooked quite a bit, and obviously by saying that I put the curse on him and he missed the cut!"
The 24-year-old will be looking to improve on second-placed finishes at last year's Masters and US Open.
