Austin Eckroat is the latest new winner on the PGA Tour after he won the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches on Monday.
An extra day was required due to the weather conditions during Sunday's final round, with Eckroat left with a nervous wait to try to lift the trophy.
To the 25-year-old's credit, he was almost faultless, only bogeying the 14th on the back of successive birdies, and it enabled him to stay at the top of the leaderboard.
A further birdie came at the 16th hole and the American was able to successfully see out a three-shot win with pars at 17 and 18.
Erik van Rooyen and Min Woo Lee had to settle for a share of second position, with Van Rooyen in particular impressing with a final-round 63 to catapult himself up the standings.
Five players finished in a tie for fourth, including Ireland's Shane Lowry and in-form Jake Knapp, who won the previous tournament in Mexico.
Cameron Young, Lee Kyoung-hoon and David Skinns were the other players to post a notable finish ahead of another seven players who were a shot further adrift.
Rory McIlroy and Matt Fitzpatrick were among those who could only earn a share of 21st place. body check tags ::
