American Brice Garnett leads the Crowne Plaza Invitational by one shot after the second day of the tournament.
The 30-year-old started the day two shots off the pace on three-under, but shot a fine round of 66 to finish the day on seven-under to lead the competition.
Chris Stroud carded the joint-lowest round of the day with a 64 to move up 40 places to tie for second place with Robert Streb, who was two-under on day two.
Day one leader Dustin Johnson failed to build on his excellent start to the tournament as he shot an even-par round of 70 to fall back to tied-fourth.
