Both players are three-under through seven holes of their third round in Mexico, three shots clear of nearest challengers Rory Sabbatini and Kevin Stadler.
Alvaro Quiros, Jason Bohn and Chris Stroud are on 11-under, with Spencer Levin, Justin Leonard and Scott Brown completing the top page on the leaderboard on 10-under.
Meanwhile, defending champion John Huh is in a tie for 37th on five-under, four shots clear of the one-under cut mark.
