Tiger Woods has claimed the 17th World Golf Championship of his career today by winning the WGC-Cadillac title by two shots.
Woods led the tournament from the first round but still had work to do in the back nine as Steve Stricker and Graeme McDowell briefly threatened to mount a late charge.
The American maintained his composure with a true, precise swing and held his nerve on the greens to claim a 94th tournament success.
A bogey at 18 left Woods with a one-under round of 71 to finish two shots clear of Stricker in second.
McDowell had to settle for a tie of third place alongside Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott.
