Ricardo Gonzalez and Bernd Wiesberger have finished tied for the lead after the first round of the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles.
The pair shot seven-under rounds of 65 to end the day one shot clear of Oliver Fisher, Ignacio Garrido, Ross Fisher, Brett Rumford, Mark Foster and Thongchai Jaidee.
Tom Lewis is part of a five-man group on five-under, while Europe's Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley shot 68 to finish four-under.
Francesco Molinari (-3) and Paul Lawrie (-2) remain in contention after solid first rounds, but Thomas Bjorn (E) and Simon Dyson (E) are both flirting with the projected one-under cut line, which could drift tomorrow.
Despite that, Robert Rock (+5) and Simon Khan (+9) look likely to be missing the weekend in Perthshire.
