Mark Wiebe has won the British Senior Open in a sudden death fifth-hole playoff against Bernhard Langer at Royal Birkdale.
The pair were forced into a playoff last night after Langer dropped a two-shot lead, but play was halted until a fifth day due to darkness with the duo all square following two holes.
After returning to the course at Royal Birkdale this morning, both players carded par fours on the 18th hole, taking the playoff into a fourth hole that the pair missed.
While nothing separated the duo after four holes, Wiebe was able to putt the fifth hole to take the crown.
