Gary Woodland and Matt Kuchar have finished at the top of the leaderboard after day three of The Barclays, despite the penultimate round being incomplete.
The pair still have four holes of their third round left to play as the field still attempts to make up time from a rain-affected first day.
The story of the day, however, was that of Kevin Chappell, who posted a nine-under round of 62 to catapult himself into third place, three shots clear of David Lynn and Rickie Fowler.
Justin Rose, Bubba Watson and Tiger Woods are among six players on seven-under-par, while Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia are part of an eight-strong group on six-under.
