Cheyenne Woods, the niece of world number one Tiger Woods, earned her first career title on Sunday with victory at the Volvik RACV Ladies Masters.
The Arizona native held off competition from Australian amateur Minjee Lee to win by two shots at the Royal Pines course on the Gold Coast in Australia.
She made three birdies in her last six holes to shoot a four-under-par final round of 69 and close the tournament on 16 under, charging clear of Lee who had taken a share of the lead during the front nine.
However, the 17-year-old local could not sustain her challenge, finishing outright second in the Australian Ladies Open, with South African Stacy Lee Bregman and Camilla Lennarth of Sweden tied for third.
Woods, 23, kept her composure to claim her first trophy since turning professional in 2012.
