The United States have come out on top against Europe in the junior version of the Ryder Cup.

Twelve youngsters from either side took to the course at Olympia Fields in Chicago, near to where the senior competition will take place at Medinah this weekend.

The hosts led 7-5 going into the final 12 singles matches today and completed a 14.5-9.5 victory for their third straight success.
