Americans Scott Brown and Andrew Loupe share the lead after the first round of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.
The duo both shot six-under-par 66s, although Brown's round came on the more difficult South Course as Loupe enjoyed success on the North Course.
The top of the leaderboard is dominated by Americans, with Billy Horschel, Patton Kizzire, Tom Hoge, Rob Hoppenheim and Harold Varner III, who all played their opening round on the North Course, in a tie for second on five-under.
Defending champion and world number two Jason Day is six shots behind the lead on level-par, while Rickie Fowler, who won last week in Abu Dhabi, is one-over.
